Current image-guided interventions are performed using 2D images. We are pushing the boundaries for planning and executing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in 3D using augmented reality. Therapies and treatments no longer have to be limited by 2D images.

This idea was conceived years ago in the PIGI Lab, but AR technology wasn't ready at that time. We are spearheading the development and adoption of this innovation at Penn Medicine, OHSU, and VA Medical Centers to advance IR and improve patient care.
